Stainless steel burning protection 
The safest protection against burning of mash, when distilling, is a water bath still. But with directly heated boilers you must have devices that prevent burning with high security. The first step is to keep the thick components of a mash away from the heated bottom. This is achieved primarily by a mash strainer. But a mash strainer alone is not a 100% burning protection. If the liquid component of a mash still contains starch, the liquid can also burn. To find that out, you should either do an iodine starch test, or cheaper, put a small amount of the liquid mash in a small pot and do a burning test on the stove. If the small amount burns, precautions must be taken.
If you know that you do not use 100% ripe fruit, burn is likely. In this case, it is advisable to use an amylase, which converts residual starch into sugar. This not only reduces the danger of burning, but also increases the yield.
Nevertheless, you should perform the above-mentioned burning test after fermentation. If the sample still tended to burn despite using an amylase, in addition to the mash sieve for instance a mash bag, as we offer it here in different sizes. This can not only keep solid components off the ground, but also filter out residual yeast. The combination of amylase, mash screen and filter bag or filter cloth should prevent burning.

Aroma basket
Is not it just protection against burning, but that either, in Germany only for commercial applications, alcohol vapor flows through fruits or herbs to obtain an aromatized distillate, or steam distillations to produce hydrosol and essential oils to be carried out, which is also in Germany is allowed, one uses a height-adjustable aroma sieve. This is placed in a still above the neutral alcohol or water and filled with fruits, flowers or herbs and will be distilled.

The DILLILLIERMEISTER Hobby-E2 is easy to handle. It is ready to use in a few simple steps. For heating, place the distillery on an induction plate. For cooling you need a pot, bucket or bowl of cold water - 10 liters should be enough. With a simple, low-power pump (such as aquarium pump), you can direct water from the reservoir to port 4.4. The hot water leaves the cooling above 4.5. They redirect it back to their water container. Since the cooler is amply sized for its task, a small water flow is sufficient for the cooling.

DISTILLERY MASTER E2-3 Supreme Model 2025

Legal and registration-free distiller made of heavy-duty stainless steel for essential oils

This distiller impresses with its particularly solid material quality. With a 3-litre plant chamber, you have a decent volume for hobby use, even for processing larger quantities of plants or drugs. By raising the aroma basket (optional), you can also experiment with smaller quantities, but you should then work with reduced heating power. The steam is generated in a separate boiler under the plant container, so that contact with boiling water is impossible. Best of all, despite the large plant container, the water boiler only has a volume of 2 litres, which means that the DESTILLIERMEISTER E2-3 Supreme Model 2025 is also legal in Germany and Austria and can be sold and operated without notification to customs.
 

Easy handling:

• In the new model, optimised clamping fasteners mean that no seals are required between the 1st and 2nd or 3rd and 4th chambers. Sealing is achieved by metal contact. This means that there are no follow-up costs for this model.
• Fill the water/steam boiler with at least 1.3 litres and no more than 1.7 litres of ideally demineralised or distilled water.
• Attach the 3-litre plant tube and close the boiler with the clamps 1.1.
• Place the aroma basket in the plant tube and open it.
• Fill to the brim with herbs or medicinal plants – do not compress. This is approximately 3 litres.
• Place the lid 3 on top and tighten the fasteners 2.4.
• Insert the distillation bridge 4 into the socket 3.1.
• Insert the thermometer with the plug into the socket 4.2.
• Screw any cooling water hoses that are not included in the accessories to the cooler.
• Switch on the heat source and collect the hydrolate with oil at 4.6.
• Distil for about 8 minutes at high power (induction plate 2000 watts). You should have 500 ml of distillate.

The water/steam container and plant/drug tube, as well as all distillate-carrying pipes and connections, are made of stainless steel.

• Pour 1.8 liters of water into the water / steam boiler,
• Place up to 4 liters of plant pipe and close with tension locks,
• Insert aroma basket,
• fill with up to 4 liters of herbs or drugs - do not compress,
• seal as described below
• fit cover 5. and tighten tension locks 4.1,
• insert distillation bridge 6 in socket 5.1,
• screw the coolant hoses to the cooler,
• switch on the heat source and collect oil and Hydrolat at 6.6,
• distill for a maximum of 15 to a maximum of 20 minutes at a higher power (induction plate 2000 watts).

Water / steam tank and plant / drug tube, as well as all distillate leading pipelines are made in high quality stainless steel.
